Sydney-headquartered, and now Whispir's owner
Soprano Design is an Australian-headquartered enterprise messaging platform, based in Sydney and backed by private equity firm Potentia Capital. It sells into large enterprise and government customers rather than to a small business signing up for a monthly plan, which is also why it carries no published Australian dollar rate: pricing at this end of the market is negotiated, not listed on a page.
Soprano took Whispir private in a 2023 to 2024 takeover and is now its parent company. The two are not the same product: Soprano's own July 2026 press release still names "Soprano Connect and Whispir platforms" as two separately certified products rather than one merged offering, and Whispir continues to operate under its own brand (see the Whispir review). A reader comparing the two should treat them as related companies under one owner, not as one platform sold under two names.
