Right for you if
  • Four monthly plans from $49.00 AUD excluding GST a month with 500 included segments and no lock-in contracts per the Edgility pricing page
  • Email to SMS works through a registered address sending to the mobile number followed by @smsmail.com.au, with replies returned to your original inbox
  • API access uses MessagePort V2 REST with Basic Auth credentials issued under Settings API Keys, and a free trial of 20 credits is offered
Look elsewhere if
  • Included monthly messages are non transferable, and the published material does not state whether unused segments roll over, so you should confirm rollover before committing
  • The homepage advertises a 99% uptime SLA, but this review did not verify the SLA terms or any service credit arrangement
  • The privacy policy permits service providers and group companies to process data, and no Australian data residency guarantee was verified

This monthly SMS plan comparison covers 4 published plans across 1 Australian-eligible providers. It is an A to Z listing, not a ranking. Each entry shows the monthly fee, included SMS segments and the excess segment charge. This subset is separately documented and does not cover every monthly plan on the market. First-month account setup can change the total cost. Source dates are shown per provider.

The calculator adds the fixed monthly fee to overage charges once the allowance is used. The first-month scenario includes the documented one-time account setup fee, including zero where no upfront costs are published. All figures are in AUD excluding GST. It excludes optional dedicated numbers, sender ID fees, forwarding and negotiated quotes. Unused included messages are shown, though no rollover is assumed. Enter billable SMS segments, not contact counts. See the SMS segment counter for details.

For irregular campaigns, prepaid can differ from monthly subscriptions. Do not infer monthly volume rates from prepaid packages. Check number fees, expiry, cancellation and written account terms before you commit. See our SMS Papa review and GoFax review for provider detail, plus our email to SMS providers and SMS API comparison guides. No single provider is cheaper or best for every business, so compare the terms that apply to your own sending.

Edgility at a glance

Edgility is an Australian business SMS service operated by Fonelinc Pty Limited, ABN 88 092 285 955, an active Australian private company. The ABR entry carries the postcode NSW 2009. The published Sydney headquarters is Suite 5.16, 55 Miller Street, Pyrmont. The privacy policy is explicitly issued by Fonelinc Pty Ltd for Edgility and related entities, which gives you a named legal entity behind the brand.

The ABR lists Edgility as an old trading name from 2008, and you should not treat that listing as the current registered business name. No hands-on account or message testing took place for this review, which is a documentary review of provider sources read on 23 October 2026.

Monthly pricing

Edgility publishes four Australian monthly plans, all in Australian dollars excluding GST, starting at $49.00 AUD excluding GST a month with 500 included segments. Each plan advertises API access, email to SMS, unlimited subusers, reporting, optout management and two-way messaging. The pricing page states there are no lock-in contracts, and included monthly messages are non transferable.

Because the material does not state whether unused segments roll over, you should confirm rollover behaviour before buying. Enterprise bulk volumes are quoted separately. A free trial of 20 credits is offered, and the homepage states no upfront costs, with no subscription setup fee disclosed. Our monthly SMS plan comparison pages place these documented plans alongside other Australian offerings so you can judge the allowance against your own sending volume.

Setup and features

Email to SMS is enabled under Settings Email to SMS, where you register an allowed email address and choose a default sender ID. You send to the mobile number followed by @smsmail.com.au, and replies return to your original inbox if enabled. Subject line inclusion is optional and off by default.

The #END# marker removes everything after it, and it is placed before your signature so trailing email content is omitted from the message. For message composition guidance, see our content on crafting SMS messages, and our coverage of email to SMS providers explains how this delivery style compares across the Australian market.

The API is MessagePort V2 REST, using Basic Auth with a token ID and secret issued under Settings API Keys. The documentation contains conflicting wording about the Postman username and password order, so you should confirm the field order with your issued credentials rather than copying an example. Our SMS API comparison explains how this style of integration stacks up against other documented Australian gateways. SDKs are advertised, though named libraries were not verified from the sources read.

Reliability and limitations

Edgility advertises local routes as a marketing claim, and this review has not independently tested routing, delivery or any SLA. The homepage advertises a 99% uptime SLA, but the SLA terms and any service credit arrangement were not verified, so any mention of that figure should be attributed to the homepage rather than treated as a contractual remedy.

The privacy policy permits service providers and group companies to process data, and states encryption in transit and at rest, but no Australian data residency guarantee was verified. You should not assume Australian data storage on the current evidence.

Support

Contact options are phone on 1300 764 451, email and tickets, per the Edgility contact page. The published target is that most enquiries are answered within one business day, which is a service target rather than a guarantee. This review did not test response times.

Alternatives and verdict

If monthly plans do not suit your volume pattern, prepaid options exist in the market, and our business bulk SMS comparison places Edgility alongside other documented monthly offerings. Note that touchSMS is a separately offered brand and is not covered here. A dedicated SMS and MMS number is available at $20 a month excluding GST for the SMS and MMS virtual number, with no setup fee, with free inbound text and zero setup.

Edgility is worth considering if you want a documented monthly plan with API and email to SMS under an identifiable Australian company, no lock-in and a free trial to validate delivery before you commit. The gaps that matter at decision time are the unstated rollover behaviour for included segments, the unverified SLA terms behind the uptime claim and the unverified data residency position. Confirm those three points with Edgility directly, run the trial credits against your own numbers, and use our SMS segment counter alongside the calculator totals to estimate your true monthly cost before you commit.

Edgility questions

Can I send longer messages through email to SMS?

Max parts defaults to one, which truncates messages past 160 characters according to the general guide. You can increase Max Parts in settings so longer messages are delivered as additional concatenated parts. The 160 character figure applies to standard segments and should not be assumed for Unicode content.

Do test API messages reach real recipients?

The documentation describes published test numbers that separately simulate valid, invalid and opted out results without sending an actual SMS. Messages sent to test numbers are not visible in your account. No hands-on testing took place for this review, so you should verify the behaviour with your own credentials during the trial.

Is Edgility the same product as touchSMS?

Edgility and touchSMS are separately offered brands, not aliases for one price. Current touchSMS records describe a separate entity, One Touch Enterprises Pty Ltd, alongside Edgility aggregation. This review covers the Edgility MessagePort monthly offering only and does not cover touchSMS prepaid rates or ownership.
