Right for you if
  • No credit expiry, setup fee, monthly subscription or contract period.
  • Web portal includes contact groups, import, scheduling, templates, personalisation, subusers, Unicode and delivery reports.
  • First order carries a 30 day refund on the unused balance, subject to terms.
Look elsewhere if
  • Failed sends debit credits as well as successful ones, which adds cost risk on poor data.
  • API code examples for .NET, Java, PHP and VB6 are samples, and maintenance is not verified.
  • Email-to-SMS is advertised, but address format, sender authorisation, subject processing and replies are not documented on the public page read.

How OneWaySMS prices

OneWaySMS prepaid packages start at $37.50 AUD for 500 SMS, including GST. These are upfront purchases, not monthly volume bands.

Pricing is prepaid in Australian dollars including GST, published as fixed packages rather than monthly volume bands. You can buy the same package repeatedly, for example four 500 message purchases for 2000 messages. Quotes apply above 100000 messages, so large senders should request one.

Company and contact details

OneWaySMS trades under ONE WAY SMS, a registered business name of Junmos Pty Ltd, ABN 63 132 637 159, an active Australian private company. OneWaySMS publishes an Australian contact address at 22A Shierlaw Street, Richmond SA 5033. The company also operates regional websites, though this does not by itself indicate where it is headquartered or who owns it. Verify the entity yourself through the ABN record.

Prepaid packages and how they work

The pricing page lists prepaid packages in Australian dollars including GST, from $37.50 for 500 messages up to 100000 messages. These are packages, not monthly volume bands. There is no setup fee, monthly subscription, contract period or credit expiry. Above 100000 messages you need a quote. The pricing page permits repeat purchases and gives four 500-message packs, which total 2,000 messages, as one example of how a larger volume could be reached.

Refund terms that matter

Under the service terms, the first-order refund is limited to the remaining balance within 30 days of payment, subject to conditions. The refund applies to the unused balance subject to terms. Read the terms page before relying on this, because conditions may change your eligibility.

Portal features for campaign work

The web SMS portal supports contact groups, import, scheduling, templates, personalisation, subusers, Unicode, delivery reports and opt-out handling. Standard messages allow 160 characters, while Unicode allows 70. For messages longer than one segment, the generic multipart counter at SMS crafting helps you count actual billed segments. A trial of 10 credits is available per the FAQ.

Developer and integration options

The HTTP API page advertises HTTPS and code examples for .NET, Java, PHP and VB6. These are samples rather than verified maintained SDKs. Authentication, callback security, throughput and delivery were not tested here, so confirm the documentation covers your setup before committing. The email-to-SMS page advertises sending messages by email, but the address format, sender authorisation, subject processing and reply details were not verified on that page, so we do not claim these details are unavailable everywhere. PictureSMS sends an image link inside an SMS, not native MMS.

Comparing OneWaySMS with other prepaid services

Other prepaid options exist, including the SMS Papa review and the GoFax review, which neither outrank nor trail OneWaySMS here. The prepaid packages comparison shows upfront costs side by side. For documented setup differences, see the SMS gateway overview and the email-to-SMS comparison.

Decide on fit before you buy

OneWaySMS gives you prepaid simplicity, a portal with the usual campaign tools, and no expiry on credits. The trade-offs are credit debits on failed sends, sample-only API code, and thin public documentation for email-to-SMS. If a quote above 100000 messages or a restricted campaign category applies to you, settle both with OneWaySMS before purchasing.

OneWaySMS questions

Do the SMS credits expire?

No. OneWaySMS states there is no credit expiry, no setup fee, no monthly subscription and no contract period. Credits remain available until used. The 30 day refund window applies only to the unused balance on a first order, calculated from payment.

Can I buy more than one package at a time?

Yes. The source permits repeat purchases, with an example of four 500 message packages for 2000 messages. Packages and same-pack multiples appear in the rate tables and calculator. Mixed-package optimisation is not shown, and the cap is 100000 messages before a quote is required.

What content is restricted?

The terms restrict payment-request messages, personal loan or finance content, and gambling-related material. These are contractual limits, not legal advice. If your campaign touches any restricted category, you should confirm with OneWaySMS whether it is permitted before purchasing.
