Where touchSMS stands
touchSMS (One Touch Enterprises Pty Ltd, ACN 162 530 010) is an established Australian SMB SMS gateway. It operates via Edgility, an SMS aggregator formerly named Fonelinc (ABN 88 092 285 955), for ACMA Sender ID Register compliance, and touchSMS itself is a separate, later-registered legal entity from Edgility/Fonelinc, not the same company under an old name. Its pricing page now publishes a per-message price for Australian mobiles: 5c per prepaid credit in AUD excluding GST, at 1 credit per standard SMS, with no volume bands.
Not listed under its own name. Its review records that it sends through Edgility, which ACMA lists as a certified telco. ACMA's list read 19 September 2026.
touchSMS publishes no founded or uptime.

touchSMS publishes one prepaid credit price, 5c per credit in AUD excluding GST, and charges 1 credit per standard SMS to an Australian mobile number. There are no volume bands: the page calls it "flat rate pricing" and says buyers do not have to pre-purchase or pre-commit to large amounts to get the cheapest price, so the one figure is carried at every volume. The minimum purchase is 400 credits ($20 excluding GST), credits never expire, inbound SMS and MMS are free, and an MMS costs 3 credits (15c). Rates to numbers outside Australia are shown only inside the account. Enterprise post-paid accounts run on the separate Edgility platform, whose pricing is not published.

What touchSMS costs at your volume
touchSMS at 15K tier: 5.00cAt 15,000 messages a month touchSMS costs $750, $300 more than Mobile Message, $135 below the field median. Rates are each provider's published price at the 15K tier; above 250,000 most providers negotiate.
touchSMS pricing
touchSMS keeps its pricing simple with one flat prepaid rate for a standard SMS sent to Australian mobile numbers. The charge is 5.00c per message in AUD excluding GST, and the price stays the same at every benchmark volume. Sending more messages does not reduce the published unit price, so there is no volume discount to consider.
The rate buys full access to the platform, the integrations and the API, with no setup fee, no general monthly platform fee and no contract. Purchased credits do not expire, though there is a minimum credit purchase. Inbound SMS and inbound MMS are free. A virtual number carries a separate monthly charge.
Two terms change the real cost. The legal terms say card merchant fees are passed to the customer and shown at purchase. The terms also say delivery success does not determine whether an outbound message is charged, so a message that fails to deliver can still use a credit.
$15 a month for an Australian virtual number with SMS and MMS; $30 a month with call forwarding (100 minutes a month included); $10 a month for SMS on a linked VoIP number (VoIP customers only). No setup fee, no contract, AUD excluding GST.
The number pricing includes SMS and MMS, call forwarding and linked VoIP alternatives, each with distinct costs and restrictions.
touchSMS features for Australian senders
The web platform imports CSV or XLSX files, maps the recipient-number column and uses the other columns as personalised merge fields. It supports scheduling and draft or test-message options. The guide does not state file-size or recipient-count limits, so a sender with a very large list should confirm limits with the provider first.
The API is a REST API with JSON responses, account-specific API keys and HTTPS. Delivery receipts and inbound messages can be pushed to configured webhook endpoints. The API page names PHP and Node.js libraries.
Email to SMS needs to be enabled in the account first. The recipient mobile number is followed by @touchsms.email. Replies, when enabled, return to the original email sender and stay visible in the touchSMS account. A sender can place #END# in the message body to strip the email signature or disclaimer that follows it.
MMS is available through a virtual number. A branded alphanumeric sender and a reply-capable number are separate sender choices, and recipients cannot reply to an alphanumeric sender, so marketing from a branded name needs another opt-out method. A virtual number is dedicated to one account, and free shared numbers are also available.
touchSMS sender ID and the ACMA register
touchSMS states it operates under Edgility for the SMS Sender ID Register. ACMA's published list of approved telcos and message providers shows Edgility as a certified telco, while touchSMS does not appear under its own name. Edgility's role is a registration and aggregation relationship, not evidence of the same legal company or ownership.
The absence of touchSMS's own name on the list does not mean it cannot arrange registration through a listed partner, and it does not make touchSMS itself a certified telco. A business that wants to register a sender ID should confirm the registration path with the provider before committing.
touchSMS support and reputation
The published support channels are live chat, support tickets and telephone. The contact page publishes Australian phone support and an enquiry form, plus links to the user guide, the API documentation and the knowledge base. No fixed support hours are verified, so a sender should not assume coverage outside Australian business hours.
There is no independent performance score or tested service result for this provider. No numerical uptime commitment is published, and no security certification is verified. A trial gives access to the platform features, which lets a business test the sending methods before it buys credits.
Who touchSMS suits
touchSMS suits a prepaid sender that needs occasional campaigns, email workflows or API integration with replies. The flat rate, the expiry-free credits and the free inbound messages make the total cost predictable for a business sending at a steady volume.
A buyer who needs a named carrier route, a published uptime commitment or a volume discount should compare published commitments elsewhere. This provider publishes none of those three, and its flat rate means a larger volume does not earn a cheaper unit price.
